Cordless Screwdrivers
I can see how a cordless screwdriver can be a big timesaver to professional contractors. However, for most of us who only occasionally use a screwdriver, cordless screwdrivers are unnecessary. In fact, cordless screwdrivers can lead to stripped screw heads for those who are less proficient with power tools. Here’s a link to a basic (non-cordless) set that will save you some money and do the job just fine:

Another big time innovation driven and unnecessary product. I’ve seen them use it at the manufacturing plant where I work, and they are utterly useless when they run out of juice. They can’t provide higher torques since we don’t have such high power motors.
My solution is simple - carry a torque wrench or an extension pipe with a conventional spanner for sockets. Screws are far simpler to remove than bolts, so conventional screw drivers will do!
