Maryland to Reconsider Banning Texting While Driving

The Low-Tech Times previously reported on a proposal to ban texting while driving in Virginia. Now, according to WJLA ABC News Channel 7, Maryland is again considering to ban the dangerous practice after a previous attempt was rejected. Here’s an excerpt from the WJLA report:

The House Environmental Matters Committee has already rejected one bill that would have banned texting while driving. A slightly different version is up for consideration this afternoon. Sponsors say texting is more dangerous than talking on a phone while driving because it take a drivers’ hands and eyes off the road.
