Smart Goggles Are Stupid

David Derbyshire from the Daily Mail recently reported on a new pair of ridiculous looking Smart Goggles to help people remember where they left their car keys, cell phones, and other items.  Here’s an excerpt from David’s article:

Japanese scientists have invented a pair of intelligent glasses that remembers where people last saw their keys, handbag, iPod or mobile phone.

The spectacles - which come with a built in camera, display screen and computer brain - can even identify unfamiliar plants or faces.

Not only do the glasses look horrible, they may actually lead to a loss in brainpower because people wearing the glasses will no longer have to remember things on their own.  The Low-Tech Times previously reported a similiar concern with GPS Navigation Systems.
