I earlier wrote a post about using water bags to keep flies away; however, I’m not convinced about the science behind this method.
We’ve had to kill several houseflies inside over the past couple of weeks. My weapon of choice for combating flies is the old fashioned, low tech fly swatter. Hitting flies with a flyswatter is an effective way to kill flies. While a rolled up magazine or newspaper can also be used, that can make disgusting smears on your reading material. Therefore, I recommend a fly swatter instead. If you have hundreds or more flies to kill, a vacuum cleaner may also be useful.
