As regular readers of this site know, I am a big fan over free over-the-air television. Why pay for an expensive subscription service when so much is broadcast free of charge? Just tonight, President-elect Barack Obama’s first post-election interview was on 60 minutes, the Washington Redskins vs Dallas Cowboys football game was on, and the popular nighttime soap opera Desperate Housewives was on.
In preparation of the conversion to digital broadcasting, I ordered two free coupons for converter boxes. The coupons arrived in the mail recently and they look like credit cards. Does anyone recommend any particular converter boxes?

I picked up an Insignia at Best Buy, and it has been great. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw an Energy Star logo on it. It has a nice feature where it will scan for new channels (the lineup is changing alot as we approach the deadline).
John, thanks a lot. I’ll give that a shot.
