Inauguration Transportation

Politico reports:

President-elect Barack Obama will kick off his inaugural celebration the old-fashioned way—he’ll travel with his family by train from Philadelphia and scoop up Vice President-elect Joe Biden in Wilmington, Del., along the way. He’ll also make a stop in Baltimore.

Some people at the Trainorders.com discussion list indicated that this trip could disrupt Northeast Corridor Amtrak operations.  I think it sends a clear signal that the Obama administration is likely to support passenger rail service.
