When most people think about buying locally, they think of visiting farmer’s markets in the summer to buy produce. However, you can continue to buy fresh and local goods all year round.
The Piedmont Environmental Council, also known as the PEC, has released winter holiday guides for buying fresh and local goods. Unlike most fruits and vegetables, local meats are available for purchase all year round. Local Christmas trees are also still available in Virginia.
