Scoble: “Our online lives slowly leak away”

Robert Scoble, a leading hi-tech blogger, acknowledges some problems with online storage:

This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed things online disappearing over time. My first two years of blogging are gone…

I’ve seen other people’s blogs, or other online items go away too…

So our online lives leak away.

It’s not just online data that is lost or difficult to find. Paper files can obviously also be lost or destroyed. However, I do think it’s nice to have and hold real photo albums as opposed to just looking at pixels on a screen. We spend too much time these days looking at screens as it is.
