Here’s another scene from the Railhead Video Productions video of Norfolk and Western Class J #611 pulling an excursion train in 1992. Built in 1950, the engine was restored in the early 1980s and used on public train excursions put on by Norfolk Southern. Norfolk Southern ended the popular excursion program in 1994 and today the award winning steam locomotive sits in the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke.

Many rail enthusiasts would love to see the engine in action again one day. But for now, aside from video footage, the only way to see the locomotive in action is through N scale and HO models:
