2009 Virginia Election
Earlier this week, I went to the local fire department to vote in the gubernatorial election in Virginia. Hi-tech touch-screen voting machines can potentially spreading germs, but I was I was pleased to see a low-tech method of swine flu prevention. Staff passed on wooden sticks to voters so they did not have to touch the touch-screen machines with their fingers.
H1N1 Flu and the Government
I have heard some public service announcements on the radio urging people to get the swine flu vaccine. I understand the government wanting to encourage people to get vaccinated in order to reduce the spread of the h1n1 flu. However, the vaccine is not available to everyone so it is a bit odd to be pushing it so much with advertisements.
