Music Mondays
Despite being some 500 miles away from Nashville, I can sometimes pick up decent reception of the WSM 650 radio station. WSM is home to the Grand Ol’ Opry and features a DJ named Eddie Stubbs. Besides having a great voice for radio, Eddie Stubbs is also an excellent fiddle player. I plan on writing a future post covering his music with the Johnson Mountain Boys.
Laurie Morgan
A couple weeks ago I caught Eddie’s show on my car stereo when he was interviewing Lorrie Morgan about her new album A Moment In Time 
. One of the neat things they discussed was how this album was not over produced… if someone made a little mistake, they didn’t re-record or overdub, they just kept it like it was.
While I was listening, my favorite track played was After the Fire is Gone featuring Tracy Lawrence. Previewing the other tracks, others have that good honky tonk country sound like Alright I’ll Sign the Papers .
