This past summer, The Low-Tech Times brought the very sad news of the Helmstetter barn burning down.
The Helmstetter Farm is a scenic highlight on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad train rides. I am pleased to report that the rail enthusiast community and others donated enough funds to purchase new materials. One hundred Amish turned out for the barn raising.
