Train Tuesdays
Vice President of the United States
VP Biden wrote an editorial entitled Why America Needs Trains:
In 1830, the first steam-engine locomotive, the Tom Thumb, graced America’s railways. Its first run was a rickety 13-mile trek from Baltimore to Ellicott Mills, Md., but it became much more than that. It marked the beginning of a new journey, heading straight into a better, more imaginative American future.
We are on a similar journey now.

Last month, ABC News’ Sunlen Miller reports:
“To get in the right Christmas mood,” President Obama made a surprise visit to the Boys and Girls Club in NE Washington, DC this afternoon and read “The Polar Express” to about 25 boys and girls ranging in ages from six-years-old to eleven-years-old.
I watched The Polar Express last year and enjoyed the movie, although I think it would be better without a couple of the songs in the middle of the movie. Overall, it’s a great family movie.
